The RIVS website, which features a software for video interviews, was included among other notable area firms in the AIGA Chicago Snapshot 2013. AIGA is an American professional organization for design. Founded in 1914 as the American Institute of Graphic Arts, AIGA remains the oldest and largest professional membership organization for design and is now known simply as “AIGA, the professional association for design.”
The Chicago chapter had an annual meeting and featured Chicago designs in a Snapshot book. The RIVS website was featured alongside influential Chicago designers and design firms including Thirst, Plural, Studio/lab, Studio Blue, IDEO and Firebelly Design. Many featured works in Snapshot have been completed for companies such as: PlayStation, SRAM, the Art Institute of Chicago, Hallmark, Morningstar, Office Max, General Motors, Lowe’s, Museum of Science and Industry, Shedd Aquarium, Kia Motors, Career Builder, and Allstate.
RIVS’ very own, Ava Zandieh, was the mastermind behind the design. We affectionately call her the “Einstein of Design” so this didn’t come as a surprise to the rest of us at RIVS. Ava on the other hand was not expecting to see her work recognized alongside some of Chicago’s most renowned designers. “It’s an honor to be included with some of the most influential designers in Chicago,” said Zandieh. “Working on RIVS’ new website was a blast and this is a huge bonus.”
At RIVS we are very lucky to work with Ava, and anticipate that this won’t be the last time she is recognized for great work.
